Dr. Wolk founded the Arizona Urology Center in 2007 in order to bring a urology center of excellence to Cochise County, and allow people to remain close to home for their care.
He is fellowship trained in minimally invasive surgery and urologic cancers, with skills in laser surgery, lithotripsy, and endoscopy. Over his tenure in Sierra Vista, Dr. Wolk has been both the Chief of Surgery and the Chief of Staff at the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center. In collaboration with his close colleague, Dr. Nettleton of the Cochise Oncology Center, Dr. Wolk helped establish the only local Brachytherapy Program for prostate cancer. He is a strong supporter of the Us Too Prostate Cancer Support Group, and has close ties with ancillary cancer services at Northwest and TMC hospitals in Tucson. Dr. Wolk has also pioneered other services in Sierra Vista. Among these are minimally invasive outpatient laser surgery of the prostate, and the full range of kidney stone management including ESWL (extra-corporeal shock wave lithotripsy).
Dr. Wolk is proud to have been the first surgeon in Sierra Vista to offer his patients office-based surgery that can include the services of one of our local certified anesthesiologists. As many of our patients know, Dr. Wolk’s wife Annie is a certified surgical technologist with 40 years of experience.
What else? When not in the pursuit of the practice of urology, Dr. Wolk is an amateur novelist, photographer, jazz musician and chef. In fact, his clam chowder is a first place prizewinner at the famed Men Who Cook charity event in Sierra Vista.
